Shell EcoSafe EHC S3 DU 46 or 68
- Synthetic fluid formulated with high viscosity index, polyalkylene glycol (PAG) base stocks for electro-hydraulic control (EHC) valve service in steam and gas turbines, and other fossil-fuel power station applications, including high-pressure systems and systems with servo valves
- Stable, non-corrosive, high-flash-point materials that are compatible with nearly all the commonly used materials in standard hydraulic systems
- Biodegradable by greater than 60% after 28 days in the OECD 301B Carbon dioxide evolution test
- Classified as an HFDU type fire-resistant hydraulic fluid
- With proper flushing and condition monitoring, systems can be converted to Shell EcoSafe EHC S3 DU from phosphate-ester and polyol-ester-based fluids
Shell Turbo S5 DR 46
- A fire-resistant hydraulic and lubricating fluid made using Tri-Aryl Phosphates based on butylated phenol
- Can be used as the hydraulic fluid in electrohydraulic governor control (EHC) systems in steam and gas turbines
- Approved and or exceeds the requirements of the major original equipment manufacturers such as General Electric (GE), Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, and Siemens
- Approved by FM (Factory Mutual) Global against Standard 6930 for ‘Less flammable hydraulic fluids’
